Youth Inner City Mission Trip
Atlanta at Night from Buckhead
It is just around the corner. We are going to have a great trip including work and fun. We are planning a great day on Saturday including two of Atlanta’s Favorites. The Atlanta Braves and The Varsity Restaurant.
Of course I think the best time we will have is the work we do in mission. Every time we go places like this the fellowship with those being helped is the best. Not that we are so great for them but they are great for us. We benefit every time we help someone else.
If you are interssted, see Jeff,Terry, Greg and Lori for more information. Pack your bags and get ready for a life changing experience.
Included here are some of the areas we will visit.
The Varsity Restaurant Downtown
The World’s Largest Drive-in sits on more than two acres and can accommodate 600 cars and over eight hundred people inside.
On days of Georgia Tech football games up to 30,000 people visit The Varsity.
It sells more than two miles of hotdogs daily, a ton of onion rings, 2500 pounds of fresh cut potatoes, 5000 homemade fried pies, and 300 gallons of chili, all of which are made from scratch daily. The downtown Varsity is also the world’s largest single outlet for Coca-Cola.
This is where the now famous cry of The Varsity started “What’ll Ya Have”.
Underground Atlanta
| Located in the Heart of Downtown, Underground Atlanta is bustling with activity, day or night. Enjoy daily entertainment by Atlanta’s talented residents, caricature drawings, homemade candy, delicious dining and souvenir shopping. Learn of Atlanta’s past on our guided history tour, From Civil War to Civil Rights. Experience It All on the original streets of Atlanta. Over six blocks of shopping, dining, history and entertainment! |
Piedmont Park
Piedmont Park, Atlanta’s “Common Ground” since 1904, is located approximately 2 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. The park runs along 10th Street (a block west of 10th & Monroe Avenue to a block east of 10th & Piedmont Avenue) and Piedmont Avenue (12th & Piedmont to just before 15th & Piedmont) in midtown Atlanta. The park is open daily from 6:00 am until 11:00 pm.

New City Church
Downtown Macon GA
What’s in a name? In this case, everything. We believe that the gospel of Jesus Christ is indeed transforming. Therefore, we believe that as we share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the people of our city, our city will be transformed and made new. It is the calling of new city church downtown to see our city transformed and made new!
Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed …
Romans 12:2
And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory…
I Corinthians 3:18
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!
II Corinthians 4:17
This trip promises to be one to remember, sign up now.
