Warning about YouTubes

It was brought to my attention tonight that one of the youtubes that I had posted here on my blog was possibly leading people to bad sites.

I apologize for anything that may have been offensive. Apparently anytime you post a youtube video they automatically recommend others that may have to do with the content of the first one.

Be careful and I will take that advise as well.

Unwrapped @ Out Of The Box

unwrapped

On Monday night beth White spoke about the raising of Lazarus form the dead.

When Jesus came on the scene Lazarus had been dead for four days and people said that he stunk at this point.

John 11: 38-44

38Jesus, once more deeply moved, came to the tomb. It was a cave with a stone laid across the entrance. 39“Take away the stone,” he said.
”But, Lord,” said Martha, the sister of the dead man, “by this time there is a bad odor, for he has been there four days.”

40Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?”

41So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, “Father, I thank you that you have heard me. 42I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me.”

43When he had said this, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!” 44The dead man came out, his hands and feet wrapped with strips of linen, and a cloth around his face.
Jesus said to them, “Take off the grave clothes and let him go.”

Jesus raised the dead body and Out Of The Box is here to raise up dead souls. Jesus will give them new life and we will unwrap the body.

You don’t want to miss this event!

We are being blessed beyond measure at Out Of The Box. As many of you know we were inspired to start OOTB after visiting Christ Chapel Sportstowne in Macon Georgia in the summer of 2008. Last night we were blessed to host the United Methodist Women at OOTB and Beth is in town and truly blessed us with her presence.

Today I learned that we are headed for another Great Blessing. Beth is going to be our special guest @ OOTB on Wednesday Night. This week March 18th @ 6:45. You do not want to miss this special event, orchestrated by our Father.

Come and receive a HUGE Blessing!

Ronnie

Wednesday March 18th 2009 @ 6:45 and you can come early to hang out and get to know Beth.

Out Of The Box Drawing from the UMW Meeting March 16th

out-of-the-box-fruit

Form Donna Godwin

I started with the BOX…it turned into a church ( of sorts…could be anywhere) … the ribbons are actually the “gravecloths” coming off…remember what Beth said?  It took the people to take the cloths off of Lazarus…to unbind him, to loosen him.  Just as it has taken Christ Chapel, Beth, the youth, the youth leaders, you, our church, and many others, to unbind Out of the Box, to loosen the reign, to listen to Christ.  The gravecloths have come off and Out of the Box has risen from the dust!  Not just any dust…but the dust from the beautiful feet of the weary, yet encouraged and excited youth, pastors and leaders.  In ridding ourselves of the grave cloths, we tumble out and begin to tell our story, God’s story, the story of Out of the Box.  This leads to seeds being planted ( the X is a seed) and to new life ( the tree) and to fruit ( apples).

Secrecy is dead!

Secrecy is dead and we’re always on candid camera.

Seth Godin gives us a great reminder of this when he says:

“A friend advertised on Craigslist for a housekeeper.

“Three interesting resumes came to the top. She googled each person’s name. “The first search turned up a MySpace page. There was a picture of the applicant, drinking beer from a funnel. Under hobbies, the first entry was, “binge drinking.”

“The second search turned up a personal blog (a good one, actually). The most recent entry said something like, “I am applying for some menial jobs that are below me, and I’m annoyed by it. I’ll certainly quit the minute I sell a few paintings.”

“And the third? There were only six matches, and the sixth was from the local police department, indicating that the applicant had been arrested for shoplifting two years earlier. “Three for three.

“Google never forgets.

“Of course, you don’t have to be a drunk, a thief or a bitter failure for this to backfire. Everything you do now ends up in your permanent record.

The best plan is to overload Google with a long tail of good stuff and to always act as if you’re on Candid Camera, because you are.”

The Most Valuable Piece of Real Estate in the World

The Out Of The BoxYouth Leaders hosted The United Methodist Women last night @ OOTB.

We had Church!

I have heard through my Christian life that someone would clean themselves off a spot and preach and that is just what Beth White did last night.

We shared the story of traveling to Macon Ga. on a Youth Mission trip in the summer of 2008. The fact that Christ Chapel Sportstown made such an awesome impact on all of us is what led to God speaking and us hearing what He wanted us to do in Hillsville Va.

When we arrived in Macon around 10:30 at night we were greeted and served the entire week with Radical Hospitality and Extravagant Giving. We were treated like A Kings Child, it was obvious that we were valuable to them. There are lots of pictures here on the blog where you can see the progression of our trip to Macon and then the evolution of Out Of The Box becoming reality. Start in July and work your way forward and you will see what normally would take years to accomplish and God has done it in a matter of just a few months.

Beth spoke about people coming back to Carroll County and marking out a spot in OOTB as the most Valuable Piece of Real estate in the world. It will be because they found Christ in that place. We can already attest to the fact of OOTB being a place that makes people smile when they walk through the door, a place where people are loved and feel and are safe. A place where people are accepted and never judged. A place where youth can hang with their friends and learn about who Jesus is all at the same time.

What is Out of the Box? It is different things to different people but most of all it is an anointed place that God has ordained to introduce people to Jesus, His son.
