New Places of Worship for New People
We are starting a new place of worship for new people.
Who are the new people?
They are people like my brother who had been in church and was disillusioned by what he found there.
They are people who have no background what-so-ever with church. They didn’t grow up in church, their parents didn’t grow up in church, and neither did their grandparents.
They are people the world has forgotten.
They are people who are looking for answers in all the wrong places.
They are people who find todays churches irrelivent.
They are people who for whatever reason have not given the church a chance.
They are every person within driving distance who needs to know Jesus Christ and the freedom He brings.
Would you like to be a part of something like this?
First UMC Hillsville is starting a downtown worship center FUMC Downtown “Out of the Box” Worship Center.

Book Review: Organization 101
This is a very quick read. Only for the Kindle and a great price, $2.99
It is a very basic organization book and very helpful. I have started and become fairly organized several times through my life but the death of my brother has reminded me again, its time. There is so much clutter that my family would have a difficult sorting through my paper work to find important documents but not anymore. I am getting my important papers organized and in one place. Passwords, retirement, insurance papers, titles, and deeds. All of these things are important for our loved ones in the unfortunate event of our death. Keith was a pretty organized person and he had almost zero clutter and I admire that. Besides, a lot of the clutter in our lives can go in the trash and a lot of it can be used by others who really need whatever it is.
This book is small but packs plenty of suggestions for getting organized and it was just what I needed to get me started in the right direction.

I am the Planting Pastor of Out of the Box Worship Center and I also serve as the Associate Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Hillsville Virginia. We are a Multi Site Church, one church in multiple locations. Our 1st campus is located at 225 Fulcher Street in Hillsville Virginia. Our 2nd location is on Main Street in Hillsville, FUMC Downtown, Out of the Box Worship Center, and our 3rd location is 522 North Main Street in Hillsville and this is our Youth Ministry Center, FUMC Downtown “Out of the Box”, Youth Ministry. The most recent ministry we have is “Out Of The Box Worship Center” and we are located at 516 North Main Street Hillsville. This site is now my main focus, along with the Youth Ministry.
I have a Passion to see hurting people come to know Jesus Christ. I believe that we as Christians have to demonstrate God’s Love to the world, rather than just telling them they are loved. I am married and have 3 sons two very special nephews that are like sons, 3 grandchildren, 5 great nephews, and one great niece that are like grandchildren. I am a blessed man.
I attended school at Carroll County High School, Wytheville Community College, Liberty University, and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
