Here is an interesting story that I heard about yesterday and then this morning these three people were on the Today Show. In the interview it is just really interesting that the one individual mentions God or a higher power two times and no one else ever acknowledges it. Share your thoughts.

I really like my Kindle and many people have asked me about it. Here are some of my thoughts.

Tobacco company ordered to pay $71 Million
USA Today reports that Lorillard Tobacco has been ordered to pay $71 million dollars to the estate of a woman who it is said was given cigarettes and encouraged to smoke as a youth. This woman died of lung cancer after smoking 40 years.
Now, let me make it clear that I am sorry for this woman and her family. I feel bad for anyone who experiences sickness or disease. However, what in the world has this world and our legal system come to.
I know people who are addicted to alcohol, pornography, tobacco, sports, etc…
I know of people whose lives have been wrecked, destroyed, by alcohol. Those who themselves addicted and those who have had family members killed by drunk drivers. Why are people not suing the people who produce the alcohol? Why are people not suing the porn industry.
Anything that becomes addictive can be harmful. Soda, food, too much milk.
What will you be sued for in the future???

Going a New Postal
USA Today reported in the news today that a Wisconsin postal carrier wanted to cheer up a 21-year-old young lady because she seemed to be stressed out. So, he decided to deliver the mail to her in the nude. The carrier is 52 years old and now says it “Probably wasn’t such a good idea”. Duh
He was charged with lewd and lascivious behavior, maybe that is why he now thinks it was not the best idea.
What, do you ask is this world coming to???

I am the Planting Pastor of Out of the Box Worship Center and I also serve as the Associate Pastor of First United Methodist Church in Hillsville Virginia. We are a Multi Site Church, one church in multiple locations. Our 1st campus is located at 225 Fulcher Street in Hillsville Virginia. Our 2nd location is on Main Street in Hillsville, FUMC Downtown, Out of the Box Worship Center, and our 3rd location is 522 North Main Street in Hillsville and this is our Youth Ministry Center, FUMC Downtown “Out of the Box”, Youth Ministry. The most recent ministry we have is “Out Of The Box Worship Center” and we are located at 516 North Main Street Hillsville. This site is now my main focus, along with the Youth Ministry.
I have a Passion to see hurting people come to know Jesus Christ. I believe that we as Christians have to demonstrate God’s Love to the world, rather than just telling them they are loved. I am married and have 3 sons two very special nephews that are like sons, 3 grandchildren, 5 great nephews, and one great niece that are like grandchildren. I am a blessed man.
I attended school at Carroll County High School, Wytheville Community College, Liberty University, and Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.
