Thoughts on Worship Today
The day started right with our oldest son Michael calling me at 530am to wish me a happy birthday. I mean that, it made my day. I am thankful to have an adult son that makes sure we talk every day and most of the time several times a day, I am blessed.
The two worship services at Out of the Box Worship Center were awesome today. It started with a family I met with at 830 to discuss baptism and church membership. Awesome family and the greatest blessing to be able to walk with people through their faith journey.
We had 207 people in attendance between the two services, the band was great as always, the congregation seemed more vocal today than ever, God was certainly in the house.
We are making plans for a baptism at Camp Dickenson on Sunday September 11th in the New River, Cannot wait because it is one of the joys of my ministry to baptize Christ Followers.
I believe with everything in me that God is calling out World Changers and you are listening. I am so excited to see just what God is doing and I can just tell you it is bigger than any of us. It is something that only God can do so that He gets the credit. No doubt He has chosen to use us but without Him we are hopeless. God is showing Himself Strong.
We had 5 awesome people join the church family this morning, another great moment in a pastors life.
I preached for SNL at 1st Hillsville UMC tonight and it was another awesome service. The praise team did a great job and again God was in His house.
I am tired but it has been a GREAT Day with Gods people, telling others about Christ, challenging His people to Change The World.
