It was amazing be a part of this service – as one of those who participated in sharing testimonies, it gave us the opportunity to see how the congregation was affected. There were many tears in the service today – and not just from us women who tend to be more emotional (LOL) – there were several men in tears as well. It was very rewarding to be able to do this and put it out there that we’re all sinners, no one is better than anyone else, we all sin and come short of the glory of God. Praying that we’ll all continue to “real” and grow in our fellowship with each other and encourage each other in our relationship with our Father.

Hey Bro,as Linda said you are such an inspiration to all of us.Don’t know if I could ever do the 40 days with no food,but I have done something that I didn’t think possible. I haven’t had a Mountain Dew or any junk food for 28 days now and I can really feel the difference.Had my blood pressure checked the other day and it is the best it has been in 20 years.Don’t plan on going back to the “Dews” but a good ole “Milky Way” might be able to tempt me just a little but I know for sure that I will never go back to my previous eating habits.
I am so excited about what I see happening at O.O.T.B.W.C.!! I am seeing more and more new faces at the door on Sunday mornings. Can’t wait till we hit the 300 mark and I know it won’t be long.

Ronnie you are an inspiration to many people, but knowing your heart I know you want God’s will more than anything in your life. I can read betweeen the lines of your heart (so to speak) and know you love God with all your heart. Praying for your strength, and God’s will in your life.

This book convicted me of being down right lazy when it came to exercise! If I want to feel better, than I have to do the things that will make me feel better-eating right and exercising! I may not have a weight problem, but I am still out of shape. So, I have started doing a cardiovascular work-out and trying to walk when I can. I am excited to see how much better I am going to feel! And as Gary talks about in the book, physical health and spiritual health go hand in hand. To be the best God wants me to be, than I have to take care of myself!

I use my phone in church all the time. I take notes, use my bible app – and on occasion text a friend or two when a point hits close to their situation. It’s a great tool.

I couldn’t agree more with the two previous comments. It’s truly humbling to have pastors so willing to share they are “human” and have struggles like the rest of us, even though it’s just a struggle with food it’s a struggle to hold to your committment to do something for God. Steve originally didn’t want me to share with you that we’re trying to read the Bible through this year because he said he didn’t want to have to come up with lame excuses if we didn’t succeed. But he decided nope, this was his goal and he told me to go ahead and share with you and gave you permission to check in on us and hold us to it. You truly are inspiring others and that’s what you’re called to do, be a disciple. We are all praying for you, we know God will see you through.

Remain steadfast and firmly planted my friend. Satan wants to keep us passive to keep us from making decisions for God. ( Joyce Meyer) We already have the VICTORY-we just have to believe it. I know you do and I am believing for you and with you. I remember when you did the first 40 days fast- you became so much like Jesus that I fell apart and did my first 7 day fast. Do you remember that? You were so tenderhearted and gentle. I heard that, again, in your voice last Sunday. Do you remember Chase saying that you “smelled like Jesus?” ( I think it was Chase…at any rate- it was a child.) Think on these things when you are tempted and then submit to God as many times as it takes. God has already won this for you. Our speaker at Resurrection will keep you full. I’m in constant prayer for you. God has you covered.
